Musician & coffee lover based in Cornwall
I consider myself the luckiest man I’ve ever met. Simply because I get to make the thing I love most into my career - writing and performing music.
Having recorded two albums and played several hundred weddings to date, I’m confident in my abilities. My live sets consist of guitar, piano, percussion and my vocals but there’s always room for more.
At the age of six my step-father coaxed me onto the stage with a tambourine. From that moment on everything changed. To this day, entertaining an audience still makes me smile and it's what I love to do.
Coffee and cake also makes me smile - I know it's not rock 'n roll, but I like it!
Live from our garden with a repertoire of over 4 hours of hits from across the decades, The Tregony Teachers aren't to be missed. Whether you're a fan of ACDC, AHA or Amy Mcdonald, we've got it covered!

Noel Prior returns to the Polgooth Inn for another of our Sunday Sessions, he is a fantastic folk, acoustic artist from the South West. With over fifteen years of songwriting and performing experience he brings his eclectic mix of originals and arrangements of classics to the stage. With a comparable sound of Ben Harper, Jose Gonzales and Simon & Garfunkle – Noel’s detailed finger picking acoustic guitar technique and enchanting vocal style is guaranteed to captivate.
A firm favourite at the Polgooth Inn, Deb Johnston & Traci Parsons gigged in and around Cornwall between 1998 - 2003 as part of the band Twisted, Traci was lead vocalist and Deb the drummer/backing vocalist. Traci's uncanny resemblance (both visual and vocal) to Alanis Morissette led to them also forming the tribute band Alanisette which gigged alongside Twisted.
In 2003 Traci left the band and the girls lost contact for several years until finally meeting up again in 2014 ....the power of facebook :)
A catch up over coffee soon turned into a singsong and before they knew it "A Little Twisted" was born.
They showcase their amazing harmonies in several songs from back in their Twisted days, including:
(of course) Alanis Morissettte
as well as playing tracks by more recent artists such as:
Their extremely diverse set has gone down a storm with audiences of all ages since they started gigging in the summer of 2014.... if you have not seen them they are definitely worth a look/listen!
Live in the Garden for our Sunday Sessions is Sarah Marie who plays her own brand of alt. blues and has performed far and wide including Boardmasters, Little Orchard Cider Festival, Leoallooza Festival for BBC Introducing as well as further afield in London, Bristol, France & Germany. New music coming 2019.
Will Keating can usually be found singing with a popular Falmouth based male vocal group known as The Oggymen. In 2016, he took the decision to also try his luck at gigging alone with Acoustic Guitar and stomp box. Totally inspired by Cornwall’s rich History and Heritage, and the songs penned by his mentor Harry “Safari” Glasson, he hit the road! Will combines Harry’s songs with traditional Cornish and Celtic folk songs and has received accolades from far and wide.
Norwegian born Kaj (pronounced 'Kye') grew up in London and Cornwall. He played in his family band since the age of seven, where he mastered piano, guitar and vocal.
Now a full-time solo performer, he regularly plays throughout Cornwall.
"Solo musician Kaj is renowned for creating an atmosphere through his uptempo, highly energised performances. Having supported the likes of Xavier Rudd, the Guillemots and Finley Quaye, he has amassed a wealth of experience before a range of audiences while developing his unique voice and individual style. Accompanied by guitar and piano, Kaj can welcome your wedding guests with his chilled-out vocals for your ceremony, drinks reception or wedding breakfast, as well as deliver a lively evening performance and DJ set for an unforgettable party!"
An dew are a popular duo from Truro in Cornwall. They were formed in 2007 about a year after Nick and Lisa met.
Nick, son of local musician Billy Mac, formed his first band whilst still at Hayle School in 1986 and has been playing the guitar and singing in different bands ever since.
Lisa has been singing and writing with various musicians for the last 10 years but when they became a couple and later married, it seemed only natural to start performing together.
This has been a sucessful venture and they can be found gigging around the duchy every weekend in local pubs and clubs. It is here that they play all your favourite covers from the 60's to the present day including songs from The Monkees & Abba to Amy Winehouse & Snow Patrol. They have a studio in their house and it is here that Nick creates the backing tracks used, playing guitar, bass, drums and keyboard.
Their other passion is writing original material which is regularly played on local radio stations. Along with being the featured band of the week on Pirate FM, they have played a live session on John Goviers BBC Radio Show and been band of the week on David Whites BBC Radio Show.
BACHE is a folk-pop band hailing from Cornwall. The band was formed around the songs written by Cornish singer/songwriter Andrew Bache and now features Phil Brown on Drums and Adam Sparks on Bass. BACHE is known for their upbeat and fun stage presence and their ability to have a room up on their feet and singing along to songs they have never heard before as well as putting their spin on well known songs. Their rapport with audiences is what they are remembered for alongside their quirky, sometimes explicit lyrics.
BACHE write songs about things that we all think and feel but don’t alwayssay out loud. Whether this is through upbeat lighthearted songs, about the things you would like to say to that friend who ‘is a bit of a dick’ or why you shouldn’t talk your ex, to slower more heartfelt songs, about love that’s lost and raising a glass to the future, the lyrics all have a relatable and meaningful story.
BACHE receives regular airplay on local radio stations including a number of songs played on BBC Introducing. His debut single ‘Raise A Glass’ received airplay all across the UK and an open mic tour in November 2015 saw him play at a number of amazing music venues across the UK which led to a full UK tour during the summer of 2016 to promote the ‘Brighter Skies’ EP.
The summer tour saw BACHE play at a number of high profile festivals such as Boardmasters & Bristol Balloon Fiesta as well playing at venues such as The Roadhouse in Birmingham and Alley Cat in London.
BACHE is currently in the studio finishing off their debut album which will be released in the early part of 2017.
